Prior to purchasing Southwest Specialties, Inc., Patricia functioned as the chief administrative officer and a member of the board of directors for S3H Inc. With offices in Nevada, California, Oregon and Arizona, S3H has participated in a wide variety of projects ranging from original construction to remodels and restorations. This privately held mechanical contracting firm offers plumbing, engineering, design and installation services, and Mrs. Farley has supervised all administrative responsibilities, finance services and information systems.
Currently, Patricia Farley is the owner of two separate companies, vastly different from each other but both leaders in their industries. In November of 2012, she acquired Southwest Specialties, Inc. and transformed the business into a fully woman-owned company. As both the president and owner of this design, construction and consulting firm, Patricia is helping the company to gain a reputation for excellence. She prides herself on operating locally and utilizing her own employees for all aspects of each project. Her second business, launched in June of 2012, is called Kids’ Club Las Vegas. An ingenious playground for children aged 18 months to 8 years, Kids’ Club combines a 10,000 square-foot indoor play area with a cafe for parents. Free WiFi, gourmet coffee and a comfortable seating area heighten the experience for adults.
In addition to her impressive business resume, Mrs. Farley is also a philanthropist. As president of the board of trustees for Aid for Aids of Nevada, one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the state and the largest AIDS service organization, she has donated vast amounts of time to the improvement of the charity. During her tenure, she heightened the company’s exposure within the larger community, making more people aware of Aid for Aids’ efforts to support Nevada residents affected by HIV and AIDS. Furthermore, Farley increased AFAN’s annual revenue during some of Nevada’s worst economic circumstances. Under her leadership, the organization earned the “Key to the City” for exceptional work in the community in 2011.
As a hard worker, an innovator, a humanitarian and a team player, Patricia Farley is excited to lead Southwest Specialties to many new successes.
